Aviv Yonit was founded almost at the time WIZO Florida was born. Throughout the years, the group of young mothers from the Aventura and North Miami Beach areas has become one of the pillars of our organization. WIZO Yonit established a program of Annual Gala Dinners over ten years ago. What started as a timid project with Emilie Schindler as the first speaker, turned out to be one of the most important WIZO fundraising events. Alexander Haig Jr., Michael Gorbachev, Lady Margaret Thatcher, former President Bill Clinton are among the personalities that have contributed to the success of these Galas.
Yonit meets twice a month to discuss its different projects and activities. They include a book club, outings to museums, lectures and cooking classes.
